Mantua Praise Team!

Psalm 150   (NLT)

Praise the Lord!

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heaven!
Praise him for his mighty works;
praise his unequaled greatness!
Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn;
praise him with the lyre and harp!
Praise him with the tambourine and dancing;
praise him with strings and flutes!
Praise him with a clash of cymbals;
praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord

Praise the Lord!

The Praise Team at the United Methodist Church of Mantua is a community of dedicated followers of Christ committed to offering excellence in the worship of our living God.  We aim to serve God with excellence (our best) because He gave His best in our Lord Jesus Christ and deserves nothing less in return. We recognize that leading worship is a responsibility as much as it is a privilege and we are committed to studying and exploring worship and what it means to us and the congregation we lead.  We understand that in order to lead worship, one must worship.

We are musicians, vocalists, sound techs, projection artists and dramatists who strive to apply the truths of the Christian faith in our personal lives, spurring one another on to perfection, through prayer, study, service and fellowship.  We come from diverse faith experiences and denominational heritages but all agree on the centrality of Christ in the life of the believer.  Our adoration of and devotion to Him are pure expressions of worship.

Revelation 5:11-14 (NASB)

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing."  And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, "To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever." And the four living creatures kept saying, "Amen" And the elders fell down and worshiped.
