Forth and Final Report Sunday 10am

Sunday Morning began with snow on the ground and almost the entire crew sleeping in.  I thought for sure everyone would be anxious to eat, but seems that the fatigue from the last two days have won out.  Or could it have something to do with not getting to their racks until after midnight?

After waking up the troops Jeff and Karissa prepared a lovely meal of eggs, bacon, donuts, french toast, waffles, fruit and so many other goodies.  Many thanks to everyone for the donations of food!

It struck me as odd how no one seemed anxious to eat at first.

Then the smell of bacon got us going!

After feeding our bodies, Pastor Doug arrived to help us feed our souls with communion.  It was a perfect ending to our official time together.

Many of us had to leave, but a large group of us stayed for church where Dave announced that we had made over $600.00 at the Open Mic Night, not to mention the money brought in by our sponsors.  We'll be sure to update you with the final numbers as soon as they are available.

For us, the 30 hour famine is now over.  We take with us memories of our time together that are sure to last a lifetime.  Friendships, knowledge, and our sprits all grew over the past few days. But even though at times it was hard for us, our hunger pales in comparison to those that fight to prevent their own starvation every day.  It is for them that we endured what is in comparison such a small period of time, and we thank you all for your prayers, your donation and your support in this cause.

From off of the front lines and back on the home front,

Bob L
