Mike was born in Olathe, Kansas, but moved around a lot as the son of a United Methodist minister. His family served in several churches in southern New Jersey, but he grew up mostly in Gloucester Twp., NJ, where he graduated from Triton Regional High School. He graduated from Asbury College with a bachelor’s degree in English, and he graduated from Georgetown College with a master’s degree in Education. He has volunteered and worked on staff at youth ministry programs in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, and New Jersey. He is also involved in the ministry of Delanco Camp in Tabernacle, NJ, where he serves as a program director for a junior high camp program each summer and is part of the camp’s publicity team throughout the year. In his free time, he enjoys taking photographs, hiking, watching classic movies, and collecting vinyl records. He resides in Woodbury, NJ, with his wife, Faith, and his daughter, Ella.
